About
A company with an unusually narrow focus.
Spadewood Technologies builds and operates its own software products, and builds software for companies that need it done properly — wherever they operate. We do not sell developer hours by the sheet.
Why we exist
Most companies run on software that was either built for someone else and adapted, or assembled from whatever tools were cheapest at the time. Both leave the same residue: data in four places, reconciled by hand, every month.
Spadewood exists to build the alternative properly. That means owning the product rather than the project, taking on a smaller number of problems and going deeper on them, and treating the hard parts — multi-tenant architecture, permissions, compliance, an audit trail behind every number — as the design, not as an afterthought.
Our first platform is SpadeX-HR. It will not be our last.
How we work
The engineering position, in three lines.
We build, we do not assemble
Multi-tenant isolation, permission models and audit trails are designed into the architecture from the first commit. They are not features bolted on once a customer asks.
We own what we ship
The people who design a system build it and support it in production. Nothing is handed over a wall, and nothing is finished the day it launches.
We finish things
One product reaches production quality before the next one starts. A roadmap full of half-built modules helps nobody.
Who we are
One team behind both sides of the business.
The engineers who build and run our own platforms are the engineers who take on client work. We work with companies across markets and time zones, and we grow that list deliberately rather than quickly.
